Description
Longitudinal building, irregular. Asymmetrical facade with central portal, divided into three bodies by pilasters. In the central body a monumental staircase gives access to the noble floor. The facade is finished by a triangular pediment with a coat of arms in the center. The remaining bodies have different number of windows in the noble floor, four in the right and six in the left.
Distinguished in the landscape of the village, this building, with its oldest structures dating back to the 14th century, reveals the various interventions it has received over the years, giving it the Baroque language of the one that was the Paço de Maiorca, owned by the Viscondes de Maiorca. Annexes were added.
Until 2009 the building maintained the interior spaces virtually unchanged, decorated with tiles and wallpaper. The interior decoration was very rich, taking advantage of walls, ceilings and gardens, and conferring the intimacy, brightness and elegance of its best time (the second half of century XVIII).
In addition to the careful decoration that extended throughout the interior of the building, the gardens also revealed a landscaped organization of French typology, with intimate and seductive spaces, carefully decorated.
Between 2008 and 2012 a huge intervention changed much of the internal structure and decoration inside the property.
