Tourist Accommodation: growth in guest numbers and revenue in July
In July, tourist accommodation units in Portugal received 4.3% more guests and 3.5% more overnight stays compared to the same period last year.
Total revenue and room revenue indicators rose by 10.6% and 9.2%, respectively.
Among the 10 main source markets in terms of overnight stays, Poland stood out with growth of 14.0%, followed by the United States (+12.3%).
In July, overnight stays increased in all regions, with the highest growth occurring in Alentejo (+9.8%) and the Autonomous Region of Madeira (+7.2%).
In terms of overnight stays by non-residents, the most significant growth was recorded in the Centre (+8.2%), the Setúbal Peninsula and the Alentejo (+7.8% in the latter two).
